Mexico Increases Enforcement of Key Equipage Mandates

AERO News Network covered Mexico’s Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) plans to increase ramp checks to enforce “longstanding equipment mandates listed in NOM-008-SCT3-2002, NOM-022-SCT3-2011 and NOM-069-SCT3-2010.”

These mandates include: transponder, ADS-B, TCAS 7.1 and FDR compliance that exceed requirements for operation in the United States National Airspace (NAS)
